Peru business daily, July 30th, Aloisi, Secretary of the Ministry of foreign trade and tourism, said she met with Chinese Commerce Minister Chen Deming at a ministerial conference in Geneva last week in Geneva.

He said he would speed up negotiations on the FTA so as to sign the summit of APEC leaders in Lima in November.

"Like us, the Chinese government hopes to end negotiations with Peru. This vision is positive, and we need high-level meetings."

"We have agreed to carry out more dialogues, not only technical but also ministerial and Deputy ministerial level dialogues, in order to solve the existing obstacles and make negotiations continue."

To this end, Eduardo Ferreyros, Vice Minister of foreign trade, will visit China in August and work with Chinese colleagues to examine the issue of negotiations.

Ah said that there is no pressure on China to put pressure on Peru. Our two sides' desire is to seek solutions to problems that we are solving.

We are the two partner countries that seek deeper strategic alliances, not who will force them, but our mutual benefit.

When it comes to flexibility, he said that Peru sought to exclude 10% of the customs tariff code as a sensitive commodity, excluding textile products and shoes, while the Chinese side suggested that excluding goods other than tax cuts should not exceed 8% of all commodities.
