Yu Zhengsheng Emphasized That IBM Information Management System Is Crucial To Expo 2010.

Yu Zhengsheng, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the municipal Party committee, met with the chairman, President and CEO Peng Mingsheng of the US International Business Machines Corp (IBM) yesterday morning to welcome the guests to Shanghai.


Yu Zhengsheng said at the meeting that over the years, the information service industry in Shanghai has made great progress. We are committed to using modern information technology to strengthen and improve urban management and improve people's living standards.

In this World Expo, the use of many advanced information management systems has played a vital role in real-time understanding of urban traffic and tourist flow, and timely analysis, prediction and adjustment of various countermeasures.

Yu Zhengsheng said that Shanghai is accelerating the construction of an international financial center and an international shipping center, and hopes that both sides can continue to strengthen cooperation and exchanges in various fields.


Peng Mingsheng congratulated Shanghai World Expo on its successful opening.

He said that IBM is willing to contribute to the smooth operation of World Expo and contribute to Shanghai's further development.
