The shoemaking industry is a labor-intensive industry. Relying on the advantages of labor cost and resources, Zhoukou is committed to promoting the local shoemaking industry, extending the footwear industry chain and speeding up the development of shoemaking industry clusters.

Lin Zhaojie, director of the Taiwan footwear industry association, said that Zhoukou has an excellent investment environment, abundant labor resources and good industrial foundation. It is very suitable for the development of shoemaking industry. Now Zhoukou has been identified as the "Henan shoe manufacturing export base", which has further enhanced the attractiveness of the Taiwanese Footwear industry and expanded the breadth and depth of the cooperation between Zhoukou and Taiwan.

It is reported that Zhoukou has compiled the export base of Zhoukou shoe making industry scientifically.
