Us Top 100 Designers, Chinese Designers

According to the world daily, citing The Associated Press, Woman'sWearDaily, a fashion magazine in the US, has selected outstanding designers in the past 100 years to lead the fashion industry. Wu Jigang, a Chinese designer, has come on the list. Other names include Chanel CocoChanel, Amani (GiorgioArmani) and Dior (ChristianDior).

The women's Wear Daily recently published the new book "100th anniversary, 100 designers", talking about the hundred outstanding designers who led the global fashion in the past hundred years.

BridgetFoley, editor in chief of the women's wear daily, said that it is not easy to select hundreds of designers, especially to balance the trade-offs between the new designers like Wu Jigang and the masters such as Dior and Della Renta (OscardelaRenta).

But Frey found that although the fashion industry is always pursuing the new trend, there are some things that remain unchanged. "Many designers talk about design works and always mention women first. The best designers believe that although we need to innovate, we must take into account what women want to wear. For example, black is considered to be very modern, but women often choose black clothes since 1920s.

Other candidates included: Yamamoto Teruji (YohjiYamamoto), Valencia plus (CristobalBalenciaga), Klein (CalvinKlein), Donna Karen (DonnaKaran), and Ji'an's van Sachi (GianniVersace) and Donna tra van sage (DonatellaVersace).
