Artificial cotton is also known as viscose fiber.

It belongs to viscose, also called filament yarn, called RAYON (rayon): the real silk is heavy, soft, bright, soft, overhanging, slippery and comfortable. It has the appearance of silk and the price is cheap, the knitted fabric feels soft, and the drawback is shrinkage.

Viscose fiber is the full name of viscose fiber.

It is also divided into viscose filament and viscose staple fiber viscose, also known as rayon, ice, viscose filament.

In recent years, a new high-grade variety called "Tencel" and "bamboo fiber" has emerged.

Viscose is cellulose fiber produced from cotton or other natural fibers.

In the 12 main textile fibers, the moisture content of viscose is most consistent with the physiological requirements of human skin. It is smooth, cool, breathable, antistatic and coloring.


Viscose fiber has good hygroscopicity. Under general atmospheric conditions, the moisture regain is about 13%.

After moisture absorption, it is significantly expanded and the diameter is increased to 50%. Therefore, the fabric feels hard and has high shrinkage after launching.

The breaking strength of ordinary viscose fiber is smaller than that of cotton, about 1.6~2.7cN/dtex, elongation at break is greater than cotton, 16%~22%, wet strength decreases much, about 50% of dry strength, and wet elongation increases by about 50%.

Its modulus is lower than cotton, easy to deform under small load and poor resilience, so fabric is easy to elongate and poor dimensional stability.

The strength of the rich fiber, especially the wet strength is higher than that of the ordinary viscose, the elongation at break is small, and the dimensional stability is good.

The wear resistance of ordinary viscose is poor, while that of rich viscose is improved.


The chemical composition of viscose fiber is similar to that of cotton, so it is more alkali resistant and acid proof, but its alkali resistance and acid resistance are all inferior to that of cotton.

Rich fiber has good alkali resistance and acid resistance.

Similarly, the dyeing property of viscose fiber is similar to that of cotton.

In addition, the thermal properties of viscose fibers are similar to those of cotton, and the density is close to cotton 1.50~1.52g/cm3.

The hydroxyl groups of cellulose are prone to occur many chemical reactions. Therefore, viscose fibers can be modified by grafting and other methods to improve viscose fiber properties and produce various special uses.

Main varieties


1, ordinary viscose fiber: viscose cotton staple fiber cut length 35~40mm, 1.1~2.8dtex (1.0~2.5 Dan) and cotton blended can do fine cloth, Valentine, Hua Dane and so on.

Viscose wool type short fiber, cut length 51~76mm, 3.3~6.6dtex (3.0~6.0 Dan), can be pure spinning, also can be blended with wool, can be made of tweed, overcoat and so on.


2, rich and strong fiber: it is an improved variety of viscose fiber.

Pure spinning can be made of fine cloth.

Blended with cotton and polyester to produce all kinds of garments.

Good alkali resistance, woven fabric is neat, no shrinkage and deformation after washing, it is durable and durable.


3, viscose filament: clothing, quilt, bedding and accessories.

Viscose silk and cotton yarn interweave, can make the yarn, quilt.

Viscose silk and silk interwoven, can be made of yarn, brocade and so on.

Viscose thread is interwoven with polyester and nylon filament to make Crystal Satin and ancient satin.


4, viscose strong silk: strength is twice higher than ordinary viscose filament.

5. high crimp high wet modulus viscose fiber, high curl high wet modulus.

Viscose fiber

(HR) is a new generation of viscose fiber. It has high strength and wet modulus, moderate elongation and good curling performance. Plus viscose fiber itself has excellent moisture absorption, breathability, no static electricity, good dyeing property, fineness and length can be adjusted flexibly and so on. The molecular gap is larger, the arrangement is also loose and messy, and the hydroxyl group (OH) in the molecule is polar, which is better than cotton in these aspects.

Therefore, viscose fiber is better than cotton in dyeing property, not only for dyes, chromatography, but also for coloring.
