Recently, the inspectors of Wenxi industrial and Commercial Bureau found that there were 4 concealed leather cleaning workshops within the range of GUI Ao township.
According to investigation, this kind of workshop buys the waste leather, after preliminary cleaning and processing, and then pported elsewhere to be processed into animal feed.
The workshops are built near the water, and the treated sewage is discharged directly into the stream without any treatment, resulting in the discoloration and odor of the surrounding water.
The law enforcement officers ordered the 4 unlicensed shops to stop operating on the spot and put them on file for investigation.
