This week, reporters followed Zhejiang's online "time special line" into Keqiao, commemorating the 70th anniversary media campaign in New China, visiting the China Textile City, and reviewing the past and present of the spinning capital.
Rising along the Shui Bu Street
Reporters entered the country's first "national brand" professional textile market, modern market breath came to us.
It is hard to imagine that the world's largest textile distribution center with the largest category of commodities was originally a narrow "Water Street" which was only four hundred or five hundred meters long in the river.
In the early 80s of last century, Shaoxing County vigorously developed textile and dyeing industry, which was the main body of textile and printing and dyeing industry. It also set up points for sale in Keqiao, where light textile enterprises were relatively dense and relatively convenient pportation.
At that time, a large number of "small boatmen" peddled the cloth, carrying a heavy "salt" and started trading with foreign merchants on a narrow "Water Street".
As the first group of people in Keqiao, Hu Xiaohong, the boss of Ming Hong textile in Shaoxing, has witnessed the development of history and witnessed the vicissitude of the cloth selling industry.
"At that time, I and my husband two people, in this riverside cloth street, opened a cloth shop.
A table and a pair of scissors were placed in front of the cloth shop, and a few pieces of cloth from the weaving factory were placed behind them, and the business was done.
Hu Xiaohong recalls.
Although it is a spontaneous market, this cloth street has attracted cloth buyers from all over the country, and became the most prosperous commercial center of Keqiao at that time.
1988 National Day covers an area of 17000 square meters, a building area of 23200 square meters, and a total investment of 6 million 600 thousand yuan. The multi-functional and closed "Shaoxing light textile market", which has 600 business rooms, was opened and became the largest indoor professional market in Zhejiang province at that time.
It was then that Hu Xiaohong moved into the market from riverside street.
"It took 5800 yuan to buy a shop, so the business of selling cloth was continued steadily."
She said.
In 1992, the market was officially renamed "China Textile City", becoming the first professional market in China to be known as "China".
In 1997, the "light textile city" shares traded.
So far, China Textile City is basically formed.
Over the past ten years, Keqiao has completed its first gorgeous turn.
"There are other fabrics in the market. There must be textiles in the textile market. There are other fabrics that are not available in the market.
Qiu Huajian, deputy secretary of the China Light Textile City Construction Management Committee, who has worked in Keqiao for nearly 20 years, is watching Keqiao grow and grow further.
"Ten years ago, the fabric market was mainly concentrated in Dongsheng Road, with about five or six markets.
Later, the market was built more and more, and the market facilities became more and more modern.
"All over the world" strike
From the Shaoxing light textile market to China Textile City, the pformation of Keqiao's professional market is all-around.
The most brilliant keyword of this pformation and upgrading is "fashion creativity".
Ji Guomiao, chairman of Jila Liang silk, a local enterprise in Keqiao, has deeply realized the importance of fashion creativity.
In 2008, he just went to the textile city to sell linen. In the time when cotton was in full bloom, the raw materials of Ji Guo Miao were trendy.
But the company just started soon, and then suffered the economic crisis, and the trade was hit hard.
"I find that the big brands of clothing are not affected by the economic crisis."
Since the beginning of that year, Ji Guo Miao has decided to make a distinctive brand so as to make the product competitive and influential.
With exquisite workmanship and unique design, Ji Ma Liang successfully supplies G20 summit and Boao forum.
In recent years, Ji Guo Miao has been uneasy.
"All these are not enough."
Ji Ma Liang has been in DreamWorks, and has just butted up with Italy designers, aiming at more fashionable new products.
In May 2018, the China Europe fashion dream factory was launched. This is the new fashion center introduced by Keqiao this year.
Zhang Yongping, the head of DreamWorks, said that at present, DreamWorks has introduced 20 Italy brands, and plans to introduce 100 European leading fashion brands and design institutes into China in 2020 to help Chinese enterprises shape brands, increase industrial value-added and expand domestic and foreign markets.
At the moment, like Ji Guomiao, attacking overseas, more and more Keqiao textile suppliers are integrating the fine Chinese textile products into the global fashion circle.
This is also an important direction for the textile sales industry to break through in the increasingly saturated domestic market.
From "riverside cloth Street" to "Silk Road Keqiao", from "going all over the world" to "full of the world".
Today, China's Textile City, like "Phoenix Nirvana", is constantly rising and growing, and constantly composes the legend of "overtaking corners".
According to statistics, at present, China Light Textile City has more than 30000 households in the market, and has over 50000 kinds of products. The sales network is spread over 192 countries and regions, and the daily passenger traffic volume reaches one hundred thousand.
25% of the world's textile fabrics are traded this year, and production and marketing relations with nearly half of the textile enterprises across the country.
In 2018 alone, the turnover of light textile city group reached 180 billion 838 million yuan, an increase of 10.1% over the same period last year.
Among them, 1932 enterprises in the market for foreign trade and export business grew by 5.11% compared with the same period last year, with an export volume of 28 billion 670 million yuan, up 9.37% over the same period last year.
Feng Hualin, director of the construction and Management Committee of Keqiao District of Shaoxing, said that the pformation and upgrading of China's Textile City and the upgrading and development of Keqiao's textile industry will boost the voice and international influence of China's textile city industry, and open a new door for Keqiao's textile industry to go abroad and to the world.
